Hens are laying real regular. Come here for a REAL fried egg! Also real regular is the Mustached Wren. Am now familiar with several shorter whistle combinations they make, as well as the more typical, Thryothorus-like cheerful sequences. I find that “regional endemic” to be much more spread out over the property than before, which relates to the rapidly re-developing undergrowth on our 6 hectares.
On the parrot front, am a bit disappointed that the many that are flying over the last 3 days have spent little time here. They are feeding a bit, but not enough when you look at the HUGE amount of Drago (Croton sp.) fruits that are available. Working hard to get some decent parrot footage with my new HD camcorder…
